Our firefighters complete numerous hours of training from certified instructors. We often join with other departments to ensure training is consistent across the area. Below is our RAPID INTERVENTION TEAM (RIT) training with Ligonier Hose Co. #1, Darlington VFD, Wilpen VFD, Fairfield VFD, Trauger VFD, New Florence VFD and Chestnut Ridge VFD.
Rapid Intervention Team (RIT): A designated crew that will serve as a stand-by rescue team for personnel and be available for the immediate search and rescue of any missing, trapped, injured or unaccounted for fire fighter(s).
