About Us
Ligonier Township Volunteer Fire Department #1 (Waterford) was established in 1937 and Incorporated in 1938. We are a 501(c)(3) all volunteer Fire Department located in Ligonier Township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. We have 8 apparatus housed in the station: Engines 44-1 and 44-2, Tanker 44, Rescue 44, Utility 44, Brush 44, Ranger 44 and Squad 44. We provide fire protection and rescue services throughout our community.
Relying on donations, we hold numerous fundraisers during the year including Bingo on Monday nights and Fish Fries on Friday evenings during lent. During the Spring and Fall we hold a Gun Bash and every July and October we take our food wagon to Latrobe's 4th of July and Fort Ligonier Days. 100% of our fundraising monies are utilized to maintain our Fire Station, grounds, apparatus and gear.
